The Ocean Bar & Bistro at Cosmo Residences is just steps away from Playa Arrocito. 

Day menu service begins at 2pm where you can enjoy a delicious meal under the palapa and listen to the music or venture down to the beach and cozy up in one of our hanging palapa beds…either way, you are sure to enjoy yourself at the Ocean Bar & Bistro.

My wife and I spent a week visiting friends Cosmo Residence. Besides the breathtaking view from their Infiniti pool, our favorite part of the trip was hanging out at the ocean bar. It’s a very unique atmosphere, with an excellent view of beach from the bar. The food was great, and so was the service. We are going back for a week this coming June. Can’t wait! I highly recommend a visit to the ocean bar if you are ever in that neck of the woods.

I had seen a few reviews on this bar and decided to give it a try, well it was a great decision, very modern with great views and good food, the menu was not large but both the sandwiches my wife and I had were quite good, it is a pretty big bar with lots of seating, clean modern bathrooms, we arrived at around 3.20 pm for lunch and enjoyed the place so much we didn’t leave until after 7.45 pm, beers were $25 peso, good and cold, it was not real busy but this will soon change when a few more people go there. Give it a try you will not be sorry.

Nestled in an idyllic spot a stone’s throw from the beach, the Ocean Bar has it all: Ambiance, service, drinks and food are all first-rate. If you’re addicted to bar-hopping, this place is the cure!

Not sure where to start with this one. The Bar itself is spectacular, only to be upstaged by the view, the service and the food. I had a fish sandwich that was spiced to perfection and served on just the right bread. Don’t miss the guacamole either. We were there in the mid-afternoon and wasn’t busy, but I am sure that won’t last. Once the word gets out on this place, it will be one of the “Hot” spots in Huatulco.

Of course the attitude adjustment required when already in paradise is not very much, however, the complete package offered by the Ocean Bar is without compare. It is like being served in your own home. You feel as though you don’t have to go home! A favorite in Huatulco!

Can you still be impressed with a Pina Colada, I can. I can’t believe a Pina Colada and a hamburger could taste so good. Maybe the location, setting, friends and atmosphere of the COSMO bar just made it an exceptional experience.

Kept waiting for Brad and Angelina to walk in . . . and I think they probably will when they find out. This is the coolest spot in all of Oaxaca. Architecturally stunning, sensational views, perfectly nuanced libations and a mix of good looking people from locals to expats to happy adventurers all drawn to the same edgy, hip style Cosmo’s reputation has garnered internationally.  Can’t wait to get back. This “Palapa” styled restaurant is built into the base of the mountainous jungles of Huatulco. The Ocean Bar has an amazing view of the Beach Front that looks out over the Emerald Blue waters of the Pacific! A great spot for cold drinks and bar snacks…just steps from the beach and ocean this is the best place in Huatulco to relax after a hard day at the beach! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend the ceviche…yummy!

I’m sad to say that one of our favourite ‘secret’ spots is starting to gain a reputation, a good reputation! We’ve been going to Ocean Bar since it opened last January – and the drinks, service and snacks are great – but you can’t beat the location and view. Not to mention the bar itself – it’s beautifully done, a huge palapa roof, great landscaping and thoughtful touches. If you get the chance, it’s a great spot to enjoy the ocean breezes on a sunny afternoon.

We recently visited Huatulco and went to a party at the Ocean Bar at Cosmo Residences. The place is absolutely beautiful with great bartenders and drinks. They also had a delicious dinner of local food. Danced the night away! This was a private party but the Ocean Bar is open to the public too.
