The government of Oaxaca seeks to arrange a flight between Madrid, Spain and Bahias de Huatulco, Mexico, with the purpose of increasing the number of visitors to the entity, as well as the tourist spill.

According to a statement, the president Alejandro Murat Hinojosa met in that country with the executive president of the AirEuropa airline, Juan José Hidalgo, in which the possibility of the itinerary was discussed.

If this is done, the governor assured that the tourist and economic flow of the state will be potentiated, benefiting the providers of tourist services in the Costa region, since by attracting more visitors the activities will increase substantially, thereby generating more jobs.

He emphasized that the Oaxaca government will continue to seek strategic allies to strengthen connectivity with more countries to offer a “unique experience.” Likewise, he showed his approval for the interest shown by the directors of this airline, since they consider the State an ideal place for these strategies.

Previously, he met with the Minister of Development of the Government of Spain, José Luis Ábalos, in order to strengthen ties of cooperation to contribute to the development of Oaxaca.

Murat Hinojosa said that this meeting will allow strategic alliances that result in improving the productive conditions of the entity, in addition to opening investment opportunities in the state with the firm commitment that the current administration will maintain a favorable climate for it as up to now.

He added that this strategy will also be of benefit to artisans and producers of mezcal in Oaxaca, since spaces will be sought to be able to market these products in distant lands and thereby contribute to the economy of many families.
