Playa el Violin

by Brent May

Playa el Violin is small quaint beach nestled into the end of a narrow cove protected on each side by steep cliffs. This perfect little playa is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. You will be amazed at the brilliant underwater marine life, warm turquoise waters and abundant flora and fauna at Playa el Violin.

Playa Violin IIIPlaya el Violin is best accessible by boat as there is a hike down from the road. If you do go by road make sure you wear good shoes. As a result of its’ accessibility, Playa el Violin is a quiet beach with no amenities making it the perfect place to pack a lunch and refreshments, bring your snorkel gear and truly get away from it all for the day.

To get to Playa el Violin by car head toward Santa Cruz and keep on the road toward La Entrega. Violin faces directly west and is located just off the road to your right before you get to the lighthouse. There are no signs. If you pass Las Palmas Villas you have gone to far.
