How To Get to the Oaxacan Coast By Air

Flight Schedules are out for Winter 2019/2020

The new winter season is here and flight schedules are now out connecting Huatulco to 19 different cities and directly to three different countries. There are new routes, more frequency on existing routes and the extension of some seasonal routes to year-round service.

From several cities in Canada and the United States, you can take a direct flight to Huatulco (HUX) during the winter months. However, by flying into Mexico City, you can take one of several convenient connecting flights daily to Huatulco or Puerto Escondido.

Many of the flights listed below do not show up through flight search engines like Expedia or Skyscanner, so it is best to check directly with the airlines. The airline’s main web address, days of travel and main hubs are listed below.

 

Flights From Canada

The airlines below operate on temporary international schedules as indicated.

One to 3 flights per week depending on season – Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), Edmonton (YEG) and Calgary (YYC).

Saturday – Toronto (YYZ).

Tuesday – Toronto (YYZ), Calgary (YYC), Winnipeg (YWG), Regina (YQR), Saskatoon (YXE), Victoria (YYJ), Vancouver (YVR), Montreal (YUL).

Monday, Thursday and Friday –  Toronto (YYZ), Edmonton (YEG).

 

Flights From the United States

The airlines below operate internationally as listed.

Regular flights begin on Saturdays in December between Dallas (DFW) and Huatulco

Regular flights on Saturdays – Chicago (ORD);

Temporary flights on Fridays – St. Louis (STL)

Temporary flights on Fridays – Minneapolis (MSP)

 

Mexico: Domestic Flights

All of these airlines operate domestically from HUX on a regular schedule. Volaris and TAR (which is a regional flight) have some exceptions.

Weekdays (except Tuesday) – Mexico City Int’l Airport (MEX) and Monterrey International Airport (MTY), regular schedule.

Monday & Friday, Guadalajara (GDL), these flights stop operating in October.

Wednesday & Saturday, Monterrey (MTY) these flights stop operating in November.

Thursday & Sunday, Tijuana (TIJ), regular schedule.

Monday through Sunday – Oaxaca (OAX), regular schedule.

Monday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday – Queretaro (QRO), regular schedule

Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday – Oaxaca (OAX), regular schedule.

Charter Flights
